My journey to midwifery began 22 years ago with the birth of my daughter. She was born via c-section after a long and difficult labor. In hind sight, I believe, If I had the support of a patient and knowledgeable caregiver, things would have been different. My next 10 children were VBAC’s with the last 3 being out of hospital with a wonderful midwife. Those births were beautiful and healing-I wanted to bring that gift to others. My midwife and husband encouraged me to start my formal training. And I am so thankful they did.
I saw a need for women to have a greater choice when it comes to childbirth and to have the encouragement and support they need during pregnancy and birth. My passion is to provide the highest level of service, to understand my clients’ needs and provide a safe environment so women can give with dignity.
